Not Guilty Verdict in Trial of Freddie Gray Protester

Last April during the Baltimore Uprising, Alkebulan Marcus from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey and resisting arrest.  He has been represented by attorney J. Wyndal Gordon, who spoke on a Black Lives Matter panel at our NLG regional conference in Baltimore last April.  The case went before a jury, which yesterday delivered a not guilty verdict.

Below are links to coverage from the Sun.  The first is a link to a short video interview with J. Wyndal Gordon and Alkebulan Marcus outside the courthouse after the verdict, and the second is a story from last Friday about jury selection for the case, with reference to the upcoming trial dates for the police officers accused of killing Freddie Gray.
